Low profile premiere for restored Chashme Buddoor

Deepti Naval and Farooque Shaikh, who played lead roles in the hit film Chashme Badoor, at the premiere of the restored version.

  • The new version stars Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Taapsee Pannu, and Divyendu Sharma.
  • "When we released Chashme Buddoor in 1981, we had only banners and posters and now look at the marketing strategy. That time we didn't have such aggressive marketing," said Rakesh.
  • Rannvijay said he enjoyed the experience of watching the classic on the silver screen.
  • "It's great opportunity for the new generation, who has not seen the film, to watch it on the big screen. I am happy that I could watch the film of 17mm screen," he added.
  • Mishra said: "It's not easy to make this kind of film. Who wouldn't want to watch this film on the big screen!"
