- “Start shooting #CalendarGirls from today (Wednesday)! High on concept, this youthful film has 5 new faces to be shot in a 40 day start-to-finish schedule.”
- Earlier there were reports that he had approached model-turned-actress Deepika Padukone for the film but the rumours were quashed.
- Mr Bhandarkar, who has helmed films like Fashion, Page 3 and Corporate, last directed a project titled Heroine in 2012 featuring Kareena Kapoor.
