- the film based on the life of one of India's most successful cricket captain - Mahendra Singh Dhoni was released on August 9 in a college in Jalandhar.
When asked why the city of Jalandhar was selected to unveil the trailer, Dhoni said: "There is a purpose why we chose this city to release the trailer. Jalandhar is famous for its cricket bats which we all use."
"We have shown the bats made here in the film as well," he added.
The Indian skipper also demonstrated his favourite 'helicopter' shot on demand from the students. Dhoni said that the film shows his struggle from a footballer to becoming a successful cricketer. The One Day International team captain also praised
Sushant Singh Rajput for playing his character in the film.
Neeraj Pandey, the director of the film said: "I know Dhoni from his struggling days. It's rare for someone to remain so humble even after achieving so much success. I met Dhoni and offered to make film on his life and he immediately agreed," he added.
MS Dhoni - The Untold Story will release in theatres on September 30.
