Director Sanjay Gupta got us good yesterday. Mr Gupta, who is directing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film
Jazbaa, announced on Twitter that Aishwarya's husband Abhishek Bachchan will make a special appearance in the film. "Big excitement at the shoot today as Abhishek Bachchan shoots his special appearance in Jazbaa," he tweeted on April Fools' Day.
You had us at 'big excitement,' Mr Gupta.
Nobody suspected a thing until his big reveal at the end of day - too late for those of us in the media who had already published the story! It was just Sanjay Gupta's little joke, in honour of April Fools' Day, and with Abhishek Bachchan as his presumably willing accomplice.
Mr Gupta spent a happy few hours gleefully tweeting snippets from newspapers who bought the joke.

Jazbaa, which also features Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi, is slated to release on October 9.
