New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan's latest film Raees has made more than Rs 93 crore in five days, trade analyst taran Adarsh reported on Twitter. The film, which released on January 25, made Rs 17.80 crore on day five bringing the total of its 'extended weekend' to Rs 93.24 crore, Taran Adarsh revealed in a tweet. Shah Rukh Khan, 51, plays a bootlegger in the film, directed by Rahul Dholakia. Raees opened on January 25 to favourable reviews from critics and audience alike. The film is jointly produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and SRK's wife Gauri Khan. Raees also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.

In another tweet, Taran Adarsh said that Raees will be Shah Rukh Khan's seventh film to cross the Rs 100 crore-mark. Last year, Shah Rukh Khan was seen in Maneesh Sharma-directed Fan which tanked at the box office. He also co-starred in Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi, which performed fairly well at the box office. Raees, however, looks set to be a true blue blockbuster.

Meanwhile, Team Raees is gearing up for a big celebration tonight to celebrate the film's success. A statement from the makers said that they will celebrate the warm reception Raees has received minus alcohol - not only does the film deal with the illegal trade of alcohol in dry Gujarat, today is also the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Raees released alongside Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil last week. The Sanjay Gupta-directed film is not enjoying the same commercial success as Raees.
