Filmmaker Karan Johar will be releasing Hindi version of SS Rajamouli's Telugu film
Baahubali - The Beginning. Actor Rana Daggubati is reportedly the one who brought the two titans together.
Rana, who features in the magnum opus, introduced SS Rajamouli to Karan and paved way for a professional bond.
The film's spokesperson confirmed this: "Rana knows both SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar. During a conversation about the film, Rana had introduced Karan and Rajamouli to each other. That is where the journey of the collaboration sprinted."
SS Rajamouli recently announced a two-film collaboration with KJo. He will be presenting both the upcoming films of Rajamouli, read a statement. Karan will release the period drama in partnership with Anil Thadani.
Baahubali, which features Prabhas Varma and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, is said to be the most expensive Telugu film yet in the making. The second part of the movie is likely to release during 2016 summer.
Baahubali, which is said to be the story of two brothers for a kingdom, will hit the screens on July 10.
