Ranbir Kapoor is the star of films such as Rockstar and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
He has shot films across the world, but actor Ranbir Kapoor says he loves shooting in Delhi, and especially its varied facets that filmmaker Imtiaz Ali encapsulates in his movies.
Whether it was
Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Highway or
Tamasha - elements of Delhi have always been a part of Imtiaz's films.
Ranbir said, "
Tamasha has its intense moments. Our Corsica leg was amazing, and the Delhi portion was great too. I don't think anyone captures Delhi the way Imtiaz does, whether it's his
Love Aaj Kal, Highway or
Rockstar.
"No other director justifies Delhi better than Imtiaz. He understands Delhi, the heart of Delhi, its characters, its people, its language," he added.
The actor also believes that when they are put in real locations such as those used by Imtiaz, it 'adds to the performance'.
"You feel the world, you feel the smell, you feel the food and feel the vibe. Delhi is by far my favourite place to shoot," he said.
Ranbir was in the capital city on Tuesday evening to promote his upcoming film. He was accompanied by his
Tamasha co-star Deepika Padukone.
