Actress Richa Chadha, who is currently awaiting the release of
Main Aur Charles, has signed for a role in upcoming film
Sarabjit, which will be directed by Omung Kumar.
"Yes, they have approached me for a role and I will be doing it. However, at this point of time legalities and paper work is being done and I can't comment anything more," Richa said in a statement. (Also Read:

The
Fukrey actress will be as Sarabjit's (played by actor Randeep Hooda) wife in the upcoming biopic, which is said to be based on slain Indian prisoner who died in a Pakistani jail.
"But yes, it's true I am offered the role to play Randeep's wife and I will sign on the dotted lines soon. It's an interesting role and can't wait to talk more on the same," she added. (Also Read:

The film is based on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan, was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013, and died a few days later.
The film also features actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be seen playing the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur.
