The teaser trailer of actor Riteish Deshmukh's
Banjo released on Monday. Both Riteish and his musical instrument banjo are the stars of the video which introduces Riteish as: "
Banjo ke duniya ka Bachchan."
Riteish plays the role of a slum-dwelling rogue, who believes that life offers only two choices - "
Zo milta hai, wo haat failake le lo..ya phir..jo mangta hai, wo haat utha kar chheen lo." However, Riteish's real talent lies somewhere else. As the teaser narrates, he successfully enthrals the crowd every time he plays a banjo.
Set against the background of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Mumbai, the short clip also offers snippets of
Nargis Fakhri, who plays the role of a DJ in the movie.
Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav is making his debut as a director in Bollywood with the musical drama which will be produced by Krishika Lulla's Eros International.
Banjo hits screens on September 23.
