Rock On Farhan Akhtar, Says Bollywood on Actor's Birthday

Mumbai: Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar, wished Farhan Akhtar on his 42nd birthday on January 9.

Farhan, who is the son of screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, is a film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, playback singer, lyricist and television host.

Farhan made his debut as a director in 2001 with Dil Chahta Hai. The film also won a National Award. He also wrote lyrics for the soundtrack of the Hollywood film Bride and Prejudice.

The 42-year-old actor made his debut as an actor in 2008 with Rock On!!, for which he won a second National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi as a producer. His film Wazir, co-starring Big B, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh, released on January 8.
