"It is an official remake. It took us around nine to ten months to turn it around to My Boyfriend is an Agent. The biggest difficulty in film industry today is not that of getting dates, actors or finance, but writers. We don't get writers. They are like heart surgeons with whom you need to meet after fixing an appointment"

Filmmaker Sajid Khan is all set to direct the Indian version of the Korean romantic comedy action film My Girlfriend is an Agent.
The remake has been written by Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani writer Hussain Dalal.
"It is an official remake. The original film is called My Girlfriend is an Agent. It took us around nine to ten months to turn it around to My Boyfriend is an Agent," Sajid said in an interview. (Also Read: Sajid Khan 'Regrets' Fighting 'Soul Brother' Sajid Nadiadwala)
The 2009 Korean film is the story of two spies, former lovers who are now sworn enemies, on a mission to stop a Russian crime group from stealing a chemical weapon.
The Heyy Babyy director said getting good writers on board for the film was difficult as most of them are really busy.
"The biggest difficulty in film industry today is not that of getting dates, actors or finance, but writers. We don't get writers. They are like heart surgeons with whom you need to meet after fixing an appointment. You've to stratergise your life according to writers," he said.
Of how many writers have written the film, Sajid said, "I've got three writers, one of them is Hussain Dalal who wrote Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States."
However, Sajid did not divulge any further details regarding the movie.
Sajid's last two films - Himmatwala and Humshakals - tanked at the box office.
