Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan opened up about the controversy surrounding the public apology rendered to him by singer Arijit Singh over a song from his upcoming film Sultan.

When asked about Arijit's apology, Salman quickly asked: "Who is that?"

In May, Arijit Singh had apologised to Salman Khan in a Facebook post for offending him at an award show three years ago. Arijit later deleted the post.

Arijit had claimed in his apology that the actor have been offended with him following which, he had Arijit's version of the track removed from his upcoming wrestling drama Sultan.

When asked about Arijit's apology, Salman said: "In every film, there are lot of singers who sing. It's the director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected. So why get so upset and hurt? This is life. Then smart comments...post... you come to know the intentions."

The song Jag Ghoomeya was reportedly initially recorded by Arijit. It was later re-recorded in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice while Salman also sang another version of it.
