New Delhi: Praising superstar Salman Khan's positivity, actress Swara Bhaskar said that her co-star of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo made her feel at ease during the shooting of the film.

The actress is playing the role of Salman's sister in the family drama film, which revolves around sibling rivalry. The film will mark Sooraj Barjatya's comeback, as a director, after a gap of nine years.

"Salman is a very positive person. He is fun to be around. He has been very good to me. He helped me a lot during the shoots and kept me at ease," Swara told PTI.

The actress credited Sooraj Barjatya for helping her get rid of her cynicism and said that the environment on the sets is akin to Rajshri films - "family-like and happy".

"It has been lovely shooting for this film. Rajshri Productions are really like their films. They are actually those people who believe in family values. They are very good people.

"I am a very cynical and critical person and I say it with a lot of honesty and frankness that Sooraj Barjatya's goodness disarmed my cynicism. He is definitely one of the best human beings I have worked with," she said.

Swara revealed that a month-long shoot of the film is still left and will resume in June, adding that the schedule has not been hampered by the latest developments in Salman's court cases.

Her next big screen outing is Tanu Weds Manu Returns in which she will be seen reprising her role of Kangana Ranaut's friend, Payal.

In the sequel to the 2009 hit film Tanu Weds Manu, she has an extended guest appearance, which Swara said she accepted because of the bond she shares with director Aanand L Rai.

"Kangana is in a double role; then there is Madhavan. So, I never expected anything from this role other than a gesture of friendship and coming back to something you have known as an actor. Aanand is a director who has given me my identity in Bollywood. I would never say no to him. Besides I have a lot of faith in writer, Himanshu (Sharma) and I know he would never waste an actor. So, there was no apprehension," said the actress, who was also in Aanand's film Raanjhanaa.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns will hit theatres on May 22. Swara said that her role might be smaller in the upcoming film compared to the original, but her story track runs parallel to that of the female lead's and helps to take the film forward. "In this film you catch my character at a different point of her life. The film has a revelation about her character. Her plot is important because physically she takes the story forward. And in terms of her own track, it is an interesting parallel to what is happening in Tanu's life," Swara said.

Other than Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the actress will be seen in Nil Bate Sannata, which has been directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, wife of filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari.
