Salman Khan: Shah Rukh is More Than Welcome on Bigg Boss 9

Salman said SRK was 'too busy' for Bigg Boss 9

Mumbai: There are few Bollywood superstars who have been able to sustain their stardom on the small screen and Salman Khan is one of them. The only other exception is Amitabh Bachchan. (Also Read: Salman Khan Dodges 'Jazbaati' Question About Aishwarya and Bigg Boss)

After Salman took over the reins of Bigg Boss, there has been no looking back for him as well as the show. Some may say that Salman is bigger than the show and is the sole reason why Big Brother's Indian version is a hit, but the actor doesn't agree.

At the launch of Bigg Boss: Double Trouble in Mumbai on Monday, Salman said, "When I left to shoot Prem Ratan Dhan Payo last year, Farah Khan took over and the TRPs of the show were better than what they were when I was hosting it."

But even though there were instances last year when he had spoken about not hosting the show in the ninth season, Dabangg Khan is back.

"After three months it all gets really exhausting but I have a long association with the show and a huge connect with all the contestants inside. When Mr Bachchan was the host, he didn't react to whatever happened in the house. I on the other hand get affected by what is happening in the house. I get involved. Most of them are in touch with me even after Bigg Boss is over. So the reason I have said in the past that I don't want to do Bigg Boss anymore is because it all starts affecting me. But then again this is a show about relationships and I want to share my experiences, my father's experiences with these people and that the reason why I keep coming back to the show," Salman, 49, said.

On the subject of relationships, one that is on the mend is that between him and actor Shah Rukh Khan. When asked if he would invite SRK to promote his film Dilwale on Bigg Boss, Salman said, "If he has the dates and he wants to come on the show he is more than welcome. And if he wants to come and spend time with the contestants, he is more than welcome to do that as well."

But we have a better idea for both Badshah Khan and 'Bhaijaan.'

What if they were to co-host an episode of Bigg Boss?

That would be double the trouble for the contestants and double the fun for their fans.
