Salman Khan To Launch Asha Parekh's Biography 'The Hit Girl'

New Delhi: Veteran actress Asha Parekh's biography 'The Hit Girl' is set to be launched soon. The biography, written by senior journalist Khalid Mohammed, will be launched by superstar Salman Khan on April 10, reports news agency IANS. Speaking about her biography, the 74-year-old actress told IANS: ""This is something I wanted to do, but hadn't gotten down to doing for a very long time. My good friend and journalist Khalid Mohammed, whom I've known for years, helped me to do it. I hope the book is liked." Asha Parekh is known to share a great bond with the Dabangg actor's family. Helen, Salman's step-mother, was her close friend.

Asha Parekh's girl squad included actresses Helen, Waheeda Rehman, Nanda and Sadhana. Speaking about her set of friends with whom she has special memories, she told IANS: "Now Sadhana and Nanda are gone. It's just Helen, Waheeda, Shammi Aunty and me."

Asha Parekh was one of the top stars in Hindi films from 1950-1973. She was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992. Asha Parekh is regarded as one of the most successful and influential actresses of all time.

Salman Khan was last seen in the 2016 film Sultan opposite Anushka Sharma. The 51-year-old actor will next be seen in Kabir Khan's Tubelight. The film, which also features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and Sohail Khan, is scheduled to release in June. Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen playing a cameo in the movie.

Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai co-starring Katrina Kaif. The film, which is a sequel to the 2012 movie Ek Tha Tiger will see the actors reprise their roles.
