Salman Khan's wrestling movie Sultan released today and the film industry, predictably, loves it already. The 50-year-old actor hosted a special screening of the film in Mumbai on July 5. Celebrity guests included actors Dia Mirza, Huma Qureshi, Elli Avram, Daisy Shah, Riteish Deshmukh and filmmakers Karan Johar and Kabir Khan, many of whom tweeted praise of the film.

Here's what they said:

At the screening, we spotted Dia, Huma and Riteish along with Salman.

Salman's father Salim Khan, step-mother Helen and veteran actresses Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh also attended.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan has still not apologised for having compared himself to a "raped woman" when asked about filming Sultan. He responded to a summons from the National Commission of Women last Wednesday with a lawyer's letter which did not contain an apology. He has been summoned again on July 8.

On Monday, Aamir Khan branded Salman's comment as "rather unfortunate and rather insensitive." His was the first piece of unqualified criticism from a top star, coming as it did in the wake of Shah Rukh Khan who last week begged off from offering an opinion.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Sultan also stars Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh.
