'Shah Rukh Khan Will Always Be a Part of My Family', Says Karan Johar

SRK and Karan Johar will collaborate for a yet-untitled project to be directed by Gauri Shinde

Jaipur: Acknowledging the 'ups and downs inall relationships,' director Karan Johar on Thursday said that actor Shah Rukh Khan would always be a part of his family.

"Shah Rukh Khan is very much a part of my family. Hehasn't fallen on the wayside. Shah Rukh his wife and threechildren will always be family and a large part of my life,"KJo said at the ongoing 9th edition of the Jaipur LiteratureFestival that began here today.

KJo also added that his relationshipwith SRK and his family was so strong that it was difficultfor them to part ways.

"I don't deny there have been ups and downs. But thisconnect is so strong, the love that I have for him and hisfamily his very strong. All relationships have ups and downs,"he said.

The 46-year-old filmmaker, who released his biography, AnUnsuitable Boy, was in conversation with his biographerPoonam Saxena and author and columnist Shobhaa De.

Rumours of a reported fallout between the close friends andlong time colleagues surfaced when the actor didnot make his customary appearance on the last season of Koffee With Karan.

SRK and KJo will reunite after a gap of nearly two yearsto co-produce their yet-untitled project directed by GauriShinde.The film, which will not have a 'typical romance,' will seeactress Alia Bhatt sharing screen space with the actor for the first time.
