Shatrughan Sinha: PK Wouldn't Have Been a Success if India was 'Intolerant'

Shatrughan Sinha's disapproving comments have come amid raging protest over Aamir Khan's remarks on intolerance.

Patna: Amid the controversy over Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's remarks, actor-politician and BJP lawmaker Shatrughan Sinha today said he disapproved of India 'being labelled intolerant' by him and others. (Also Read: People Have Right to Speak up: Jackie Shroff on Aamir Khan's Comments)

Mr Sinha asserted that the country was 'inherently peace loving' in a series of tweets:

   

Mr Sinha's comments have come amid raging protest over Aamir Khan's remarks on intolerance.

Mr Khan's remarks expressing his 'alarm and despondency' over the rise in recent incidents of 'intolerance' have been hotly debated. He had again yesterday asserted that he stood by his comments and made it clear that neither he nor his wife Kiran Rao had any intention of leaving the country.
