New Delhi: Actress Shruti Seth has put out a tweet questioning government spend after a news report revealed that SMS texts on Yoga Day had cost Rs 15 crores.

In response to a query made by a Twitter user, she said that she would not do a government advertisement, if offered one.

This isn't the first time the 37-year-old actress has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government on Twitter. Barely two months ago, she was viciously trolled after she urged PM Modi to be 'more than a photograph' in response to his endorsement of the #SelfieWithDaughter hashtag. "A selfie is not a device to bring about change, Mr PM," read one of her tweets, which she later deleted.

For 48-odd hours, Shruti fought a spirited battle with commenters who described her as a 'bitch' and worse. At the time, she told NDTV that she had 'one against the trolls' and that she would 'not be silenced by mindless trolls for having an opinion. Ever.' She also said that she regretted deleting her tweets but that she stood by what she had said. (Also Read: 'I Have Won Against the Trolls,' Shruti Seth to NDTV.com )

Shruti told NDTV that she was not considering legal or police protection despite her family's concerns for her safety. "The police has more important things to attend to. I'm a big girl, I can handle a couple of trolls by myself," Shruti said.

Shruti Seth is a familiar face from TV shows like Shararat and films like Fanaa. She is married to Break Ke Baad director Danish Aslam, with whom she has a daughter.
