Mumbai: Actress Swara Bhaskar, after receiving critical acclaim for her performances, has turned a script writer and wrote a love story.

"The script is a love story. It is a love triangle. It is a messy story with lot of melodrama. It has a lot of typical Hindi film conflicts. It is a story of one girl, two boys," Swara told reporters.

The Tanu Weds Manu Returns star said she started writing the script hoping to play the female lead, but realised that the male characters turned out more interesting.

When asked if she would be starring in the film, the 28-year-old actress said, "I hope so. I hope I don't have to audition for my film. I had written it wanting to play the female character but now that it is over, I think both the male characters are very interesting."

Swara was a part of the third edition of New Voices Fellowship for Screenwriters. This year the programme selected scripts which were apparently gender-sensitive, women-centric and driven by well-defined women characters.

The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actress said she started writing scripts as she was not happy with the roles being offered to her.

"I don't consider myself a writer now. When I started writing this script, I wasn't very happy with the roles I was being offered. I thought I should write something for me," she said.

"So I wrote this script as an actor, for myself. But only when I started writing I realised the charters are not in your direct control, you need to find them," Swara said.

The actress said writing was a "difficult" experience for her and wishes the film goes on floor next year.

"It was a very interesting and difficult experience for me. Every story should reflect reality, I hope mine does too. I want to pitch this film to producers, directors and hope by next year work begins on it. I would also want Aanand sir (director Aanand L Rai) to listen to it," she said.

Swara has worked with Mr Rai in (L Rai) Tanu Weds Manu franchise and Raanjhanaa.
