Today's big release: Bewakoofiyaan

Highlights

  • Bollywood has just one offering today, compared to Hollywood's two. Sonam Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana's Bewakoofiyaan, a love story set in the time of recession, promises a bagful of tricks with Rishi Kapoor playing the heroine's stern father. Mohit, played by Ayushmann, loses his job and sets out to do everything he can not to lose his beloved Mayera, played by Sonam, too.
  • The first Hollywood release is action thriller 3 Days To Kill. Directed by McG, the movie stars Kevin Costner, Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld, Connie Nielsen and Richard Sammel in lead roles. The movie revolves around a dying CIA agent trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter. And the twist comes when he is offered an experimental drug that can save his life but in exchange for one last assignment.
  • Also releasing is action and sci-fi movie Battle Of The Damned, starring Dolph Lundgren. The ageing action star plays soldier Max Gatling who leads a handful of viral outbreak survivors and a team of robots in a fight against an army of the dead.
  • So, one Bollywood movie v/s two Hollywood big shots - as we say in Hindi film lingo, bahut na-insaafi hai. However, with Bollywood covering the rom-com base, the weekend might just belong to the single player.
