  • It's Hollywood vs Bollywood at the box office this weekend with the much awaited Jai Ho and the critically acclaimed film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom set for release. Directed by Sohail Khan, Jai Ho, starring Salman Khan and newcomer Daisy Shah, is reportedly a political thriller about a military man’s successful attempt to foil an assassination bid against a chief minister. Salman, who plays Major Jai Agnihotri in the movie, creates a nationwide uprising by asking people to pass on his good deed by helping three others in need.
  • Te trailer of the film depicts Salman Khan as a larger than life hero who roars like a lion, performs motorcycle stunts and beats up armies of goons. Tabu plays Salman's sister and Danny Denzongpa the villainous politico who tries to subjugate Salman. The film also features Suniel Shetty, Genelia D'Souza, Sana Khan, Nadira Babbar and Aditya Pancholi in key roles.
  • The other movie up for release this Friday is Justin Chadwick's Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom starring Idris Elba and Naomie Harris. The movie is based on former South African President Nelson Mandela's autobiography of the same name and traces his early life, education and political journey, fight against apartheid - including the 27 years in prison before becoming the first democratically elected President of South Africa.
