  • The third film which will face the music at the box-office this Friday is Mere Dad Ki Maruti. The film is directed by Ashima Chibber, who has worked as an assistant director in films like Rockstar, Ab Tak Chappan and Chak De! India.
  • The film's backdrop is Chandigarh, where lives a Punjabi family, who are obsessed with their new car.
  • Featuring actors Saqib Saleem, Rhea Chakraborty and Ram Kapoor, Mere Dad Ki Maruti tells the story of a boy who wants to impress a new girl in his college. So he sneaks his dad's new car only to lose it and all hell breaks loose.
  • Mere Dad Ki Maruti is made on a shoestring budget of Rs 5 crore.
