Moviegoers have a bonanza weekend with three films of different genres releasing today.
Margarita, With a Straw, directed by Shonali Bose, stars Kalki Koechlin as the cerebral palsy-affected Laila who struggles with life experiences and relationships.
Also starring Revathi, Sayani Gupta and William Mosely from the Narnia films, Margarita, With a Straw has taken the festival circuit by storm and widely praised by Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.
In his review for NDTV, Saibal Gupta gave the film 4.5 stars and described it as possibly life-altering.
The National Award-winning
Court is out today as well. Directed by Chaitanya Tamhane, the film is a courtroom drama that focuses on the trial of an ageing folk singer who has been arrested for abetting a sewage worker's suicide through his supposedly inflammatory songs.
Emraan Hashmi's
Mr X also releases today. The Vikram Bhatt-directed film is the story of an ATS officer, played by Emraan, and how he gains the power to be invisible and becomes a vigilante. The film, produced by Mahesh Bhatt, also features Amyra Dastur, and is also releasing in 3D format.
