While we have not yet reached a point where we are asking ourselves repeatedly Yeh Fugly Fugly Kya Hai, the latest release from Akshay Kumar and Ashwini Yardi's Grazing Goat Pictures has generated some amount of pre-release buzz. Fugly, which stars newcomers Mohit Marwah, Kiara Advani, Arfi Lamba and boxer Vijender Singh along with Jimmy Sheirgill as the main antagonist, is a youthful film that captures the adventures of four friends on a road-trip gone awry. Directed by Kabir Sadanand, the film features music by Yo Yo Honey Singh and features a special appearance by Salman Khan. (Also Read: Vijender Singh is a Natural Actor: Kiara Advani)
The main competition for Fugly arrives riding on a fire-breathing flying beast as Disney's sequel to its very successful animated film How To Train Your Dragon releases in India in 3D and 2D. How To Train Your Dragon 2 features the voices of Cate Blanchett and Kristen Wiig in addition to the original cast of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera and Jonah Hill.
Also in the fray for your ticket money is the biopic Grace Of Monaco featuring Nicole Kidman. The film, which arrives a month late to Indian shores after its international release, traces the life of Hollywood star Grace Kelly from when she retired from the movies and settled into a life of royalty as the Princess of Monaco. Grace Of Monace, which is co-produced by Uday Chopra's YRF Entertainment, has mostly been panned by critics, now including at Cannes this year.
Lastly, we have director Debaloy Dey's Machhli Jal Ki Rani which features Swara Bhaskar and Bhanu Uday in the lead roles. The film deals with the supernatural experiences of a housewife.
