Twinkle Khanna and Chetan Bhagat Exchange Insults, Twitter Takes Sides

While Chetan Bhagat and Twinkle have ceased hostilities, Twitter is still taking sides

The Twitter debate over whether or not author Chetan Bhagat is qualified to judge Nach Baliye 7 has coalesced into a minor skirmish between Mr Bhagat and actress-turned-columnist Twinkle Khanna. Mr Bhagat, several of whose books have been turned into money-spinning Bollywood films, made his TV debut on Sunday in the first episode of the dance reality show. His co-judges were actress Preity Zinta and choreographer Marzi Pestonji.

It all began when someone said something nice to Twinkle on Twitter. In January, Twinkle had joked about wanting to change her name to Chetali Bhagat (so that her columns would be made into movies). Today, she was complimented in a tweet that said she was an 'amazing writer' and didn't need to change her name. Her response:

As far as 'feuds' go, we've seen worse. There was a Khan-sized one that lasted several years and only ended when Salman Khan invited Shah Rukh to his sister's wedding last year. Twitter, however, was not to be done out of their day's entertainment. Within minutes, Twinkle Khanna was trending, despite this health warning from an involved party:
 

While Mr Bhagat and Ms Khanna have ceased hostilities (such as they were), Twitter is still taking sides, proving that no matter whose duelling, the winner is always social media.
