Actress Esha Deol is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Bharat Takhtani, Hema Malini confirmed with a tweet on Monday. Esha Deol is the daughter of actress and politician Hema Malini and veteran actor Dharmendra. On behalf of the Deols and Takhtanis, Hema Malini also thanked fans and followers for their blessings and good wishes. "Deols and Takhtanis are overjoyed to announce that Esha Deol and Bharat are expecting their 1st baby. We thank you all for all your good wishes," Hema Malini tweeted on Monday. Esha Deol and businessman Bharat Takhtani married in a lavish ceremony in 2012, which was followed by a grand reception, attended by the biggest names across generations of Bollywood.
On Esha's 34th birthday, Hema Malini had said that she hoped for Esha to extend her family soon. "My only wish for Esha is
you have to have a baby soon. As a mother, that's my wish," Hema Malini told PTI on her elder daughter's birthday in 2015. Esha also
has a younger sister Ahaana Deol.
Esha Deol made her action debut with 2002's
Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, which fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. The same year, she also starred in films like
