BAFTA 2016: Idris Elba Made This Actress 'a Bit Nervous'

London: Actress Rebel Wilson, who was presenting at the BAFTA Awards made a joke at transgender actors and a referred to Idris Elba as 'chocolate'.

Ms Wilson, 35, who was presenting the Best Supporting Actor award, said that she had been "practising her transgender face" in the hope of winning a prize and then referred to Mr Elba as "chocolate" at the awards ceremony.

"I've never been to the Oscars, because as you know, they are racist," she said at London's Royal Opera House.

"But BAFTA have diverse members and that's what we all want to see in life, isn't it? Diverse members. One day I hope to return here to win a BAFTA myself. I have already been practicing my transgender face," she said.

"Sorry, Idris Elba. You're making me a bit nervous," she said, adding, "But I'm just psychologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine's Day." (Also Read: BAFTA 2016: Stephen Fry Asks Twitter to Keep Calm. 'Bag Lady Got the Joke')

Ms Wilson is known for her roles in Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids.

Mr Elba was nominated for his role in Beasts of No Nation.
