Warner Bros' Christmas present to movie buffs is a quirky, funny and Christmas-themed teaser of Ryan Reynold's upcoming movie
Deadpool.
The 30-second long clip begins with a narration that goes like this: "It was the night before Christmas and a good guy in red was hunting down bad guys and making them dead," while
We Wish You a Merry Christmas plays along as the score.
The 39-year-old actor, who has played an unexpectedly-turned superhero in 2011 movie
Green Lantern, will be seen as an anti-hero, Marvel comics' Deadpool, who was once a part of Special Forces, but owes his crazy personality to an experiment gone wrong.
The teaser that closes with protagonist Wade Wilson wishing "Merry Christmas," clearly reveals that he has a mission to accomplish and also explains his red attire. Another trailer of
Deadpool, which opens on February 16, is scheduled to release on the day of Christmas.
