Liam Hemsworth Wants People to 'Respect His Privacy'

London: Actor Liam Hemsworth prefers to keep his personal life away from the spotlight.

The 26-year-old Hunger Games actor said that he doesn't like to make a spectacle out of his private life, reported Female First .

"I just want people to be respectful of my privacy. I don't go out of my way to attract that kind of attention or feel that I owe anyone a show and tell. Some don't mind but I like to keep my personal life apart and keep the noise at bay," said Liam.

"That sort of attention eats away at you at first. I read things people make up, or horrible things and those are really alienating. But the thing is, if you read that one negative thing among the 100 positives, you have to remind yourself that everyone else on the planet is thinking about their own stuff," added Liam.

Liam enjoys coming back home to meet his friends as they keep him grounded.

"You know what I love about going back to Phillip Island and hanging out with my old friends? They're not impressed by it all. They're oblivious to most of it. They've seen some of the movies I've done but no one treats me differently. It's, 'Oh yeah, mate, that was good. Wanna go for a surf?'," he said.

Liam Hemsworth is dating singer Miley Cyrus.
