Oscars: Leonardo DiCaprio is Finally King of the World. Twitter Explodes

New Delhi: Hold on to your hearts. Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his Oscar, sixth time lucky. The 41-year-old actor won Best Actor for his performance as frontiersman Hugh Glass in The Revenant, a film that also scored Alejandro G Inarritu his second Best Director prize in a row.

Leonardo, who has previously gone home Oscar-less for his roles in films like The Wolf of Wall Street and Blood Diamond, delivered a powerful speech invoking indigenous people across the globe and ending with a shout-out for the environment. "Climate change is real, it is happening right now. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big corporations but for the underprivileged people who are most affected by this," he said. In the audience, Kate Winslet, Leonardo's co-star from Titanic and Revolutionary Road, clasped her hands as her eyes welled up. "I'll never let you go, Jack" - us neither.
