New Delhi: Director Quentin Tarantino has blasted Disney for armtwisting their way into playing Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Hollywood's famous Cinerama Dome, a theatre he had hoped would screen his new film The Hateful Eight. (Also Read: A Blockbuster Awakens: Star Wars Back on Big Screen)

On The Howard Stern Show, Mr Tarantino accused executives at Disney of 'extortionist practices' and said they were 'going out of their way to f#*k me.' He claimed that he and the film's distributors The Weinstein Company had a verbal agreement with the ArcLight, the owners of the Cinerma Dome, for the booking of the film which releases across USA on Christmas.

Mr Tarantino also raged that when the ArcLight chain told Disney they would honour their agreement, the studio threatened to pull Force Awakens from all the theatres of the chain. "It was real bad news and it fucking pissed me off. They are going out of their way to f#*k me," he said.

However, rumours are rife that Disney had booked the cinema hall months in advance to play the Star Wars film, but that Mr Tarantino was informed about the development only recently.
