Actor Vin Diesel's
xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which will mark the film debut of Deepika Padukone, will release on January 20, 2017, it was announced on the film's official Twitter handle.
The action film, which is currently under production in Toronto, is being produced by Revolution Studios, Roth Kirschenbaum Films and Diesel's One Race Film.
Directed by DJ Caruso, the film follows Vin's character as he comes out of self-imposed exile to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as 'Pandora's Box.'
xXx also co-stars Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Donnie Yen.
Vin Diesel played underground sports star Xander Cage in the original Rob Cohen-directed
xXx in 2002.
