AR Rahman to Premiere New Documentary Jai Ho in New York

Music composer AR Rahman, who bagged an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe award for his score in Danny Boyle's 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire is all set to premiere Jai Ho, a new documentary on his life, at Museum of the Moving Image in New York on February 25.

Jai Ho, directed by Umesh Aggarwal, traces the journey of Mr Rahman's professional and personal life. It explores the evolution of his style of music-a fusion of Eastern sensibilities and Western technology.

Jai Ho reportedly includes concert footage and interviews with the music maestro himself as well as director Danny Boyle, Shekhar Kapur, Mani Ratnam.

AR Rahman has given more than 120 film scores worldwide, including films like Roja (1992), Earth (1998), Lagaan (2001), The Hundred Foot Journey (2014), and Million Dollar Arm (2014).
