Bollywood celebrities like Kajol and Lata Mangeshkar remembered legendary singer Kishore Kumar who died on October 13, 1987.
In a long Twitter post Lata Mangeshkar wrote: Aaj Kishore Da ki punyatithi hai.Aisa koi din nahi jab mujhe Kishore Da ki yaad nahi aati.Unka hasna ,hasaana, sabko yaad aata hai,lekin wo kitne akele the aur dukhi the,ye main jaanti hun.Kyon ki wo apne mann ki baatein mujhse se kaha karte the,par itna kuch sehke bhi unke gaane pe kabhi asar nahi hua.Sangeet hi unke saare dukho'n ki dawa thi.Main is bahuaayami pratibhashaali kalakar ko bhavpurna shraddhanjali arpan karti hun.
Lataji and Kishore Kumar have recorded duets like Tere Bina Zindagi Se, Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa Gaya, Tujh Sang Preet and Karvaten Badalte Rahe.
 
 
Kishore Kumar was only 58 when he died due to a heart disease. Mr Kumar is without a doubt one of Bollywood's successful playback singers. He was also a prolific actor and music composer.
Kishore Kumar is known for songs like Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Yeh Shaam Mastani from Kati Patang, Gaata Rahe Mera Dil from Guide, Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si from Anamika and Chingari Koi Bhadke from Amar Prem.
His discography includes song in various language including Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Urdu.
