Grammys: Adele Explains Audio Fail. Twitter Gives Her A For Effort

New Delhi: The crowd at the Grammys were only too ready to feel all the feels when the lights came up to reveal Adele at the microphone. Within seconds it was clear that there was to be no lack of feels - just not the sort of that were expected. Adele's performance of All I Ask swiftly left the audience - and social media - confused with what sounded like flat notes and discordant accompaniment.

Turns out, Adele was not to blame. It was a literal mic drop that ruined what was one of the night's most anticipated moments. On Twitter later, Adele explained what caused the audio fail and said she would be consoling herself with a burger. (Also Read: Grammys 2016: Complete List of Winners)
 
 

S***t does happen but, as the 27-year-old singer soldiered valiantly through her song, Twitter turned into a roiling melting pot of emotions. People were startled, shocked, angry and, because this is Twitter, amused.
 
 
 
 
 
 

But mostly, there was affirmative action from fans and folks - Adele is Adele and will not be diminished by technical trouble, was Twitter's verdict.
