Mumbai: Ace choreographer-filmmaker Remo D'Souza is returning as the super judge of the popular dance reality show Dance in its upcoming second season.

Remo, who recently won a National Film Award for Best Choreography for the song Deewani Mastani from Bajirao Mastani, says this year the level of the show will be tougher.

"Dance is a platform for Indian talent that puts a spotlight on pure superlative unique dancing. We have a lot of raw talent hidden in this country capable of taking on the world dance stage by storm," Remo said in a statement.

"It was extremely gratifying to receive such a great response from viewers last year making Dance the number one dance show in the country."

"With season 2, we continue our commitment of taking dance to the next pedestal. It is going to be tougher this time. People will witness many new dance forms and some extraordinary dancers across the country," he added.

Aired on Star Plus, the first season of the show featured dancers Dharmesh Yelande, Shakti Mohan and Sumeet Nagdev as the three mentors, who have their own teams consisting of the contestants selected in auditions.

Auditions for the show are being hosted in cities like Indore, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi, Guwahati, Ranchi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Siliguri, Dehradun and Chandigarh starting mid-April.
