Singer Sam Smith has decided to step away from the spotlight and take a well-deserved break, reported Ace Showbiz.
The 23-year-old British singer-songwriter said that it's time for him to go home and find new love before he releases his next album. "I am sad, but also it feels right," Sam said. "I've been going now for three years nonstop and it feels right for me to just go home and just live my life and be a 23-year-old. My love life, the downs and ups, it never stops, so I'm always inspired by stuff like that, but it'd be good to spend some time dating," said the Stay With Me singer.
Sam, however, didn't say when exactly his planned hiatus would start. For now, he's preparing himself for an upcoming performance with Disclosure on Saturday Night Live.
He's also expected to make appearances at awards events next year as his song Writing's on the Wall from the movie SPECTRE, is currently in contention to be nominated at the 2016 Golden Globes and Academy Awards. (Also Read: Sam Smith's SPECTRE Theme Has 'Classic Bond Song Status')
