New Delhi: Actress Sonakshi Sinha has confirmed that she will perform at singer Justin Bieber's Purpose Tour in India on May 10, reported news agency IANS. The Akira actress said in a statement that she is fond of the 23-year-old Grammy winner's music and is looking forward to be a part of his concert in India, which will be held at the DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai. IANS quoted Sonakshi as saying, "I am really fond of Justin Bieber's music and I love how his sound has evolved over the years and today he reaches out to a universal fan base. I'm definitely looking forward to this event." IANS also reported that Sonakshi's performance will be one of the opening acts at the concert. The actress will possibly launch her new single, which she is working on currently, at the gig, reports IANS.

Arjun Jain, director of White Fox India - the sole promoters of the tour, did not reveal much details about the tour but told IANS: "We are looking at very innovative opening acts for the Bieber concert and we would love to have Sonakshi to be a part of it. It's too preliminary to confirm anything but the discussions are underway." Earlier, a report in mid-day stated that actress Sunny Leone was to perform with Justin Bieber at the concert.

The Sorry singer is expected to perform hits like Where are you now, Boyfriend, Love Yourself, Company, As Long As You Love Me, What Do You Mean?, Baby and Purpose, reports IANS. Justin Bieber's latest tour is to support of his last and fourth album Purpose, in which he has experimented with innovative electronic sounds. Apart from India, the singer will perform in Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in the UAE in the Asian leg of the tour. (With inputs from IANS)
