Mumbai: Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj said that he is a big fan of Oscar winning composer A R Rahman and feels that he has changed the scenario of Indian music.

"I am a big fan of him Rahman. He inspires us so much with his music. Actually, the scenario of Indian music changed completely when he came in. I remember when the music of Roja was launched, the whole country's perspective towards music changed," said Mr Bhardwaj.(Also Read: A R Rahman's Stirring Tribute to Those Who Died on 26/11)

Mr Bhardwaj also credited Rahman for raising the standard of Indian music.

"He got the Oscar later. But I think his music brought us to the international standard in 1990s," he said.

Rahman and Mr Bhardwaj have sung a song each for Shefali Bhushan's film Jugni, with which she has made her debut as a director.

"We have lot of talent, especially in the interiors of India. As we see it in reality shows, Shreya Ghoshal is an example. When I saw the film, I found it beautiful, it is an honest film. The music is extraordinary, the compositions are earthy," said Mr Bhardwaj.

Clinton Cerejo has composed music for Jugni.

"Clinton is one of the finest musicians we have today. I was surprised with his compositions. Shefali has worked a lot for this film. I hope the music of the film is promoted well," added Mr Bhardwaj.

The film is slated to release on January 22, 2016.
