Ananya Panday was born on October 30, 1998 and she is the eldest of Chunky and Bhavan Panday's two children. Her younger sister Rysa is still in school.
Before making her Bollywood debut, Ananya featured in headlines for her high society debut at Bal des debutantes or Le Bal in November 2017. Her escort or 'cavalier' to the event was Prince Philip d'Arenberg.
At the Le Bal, Ananya also waltzed with her father Chunky Panday. "Waltzing with Ananya was great fun," Chunky Panday told NDTV, adding that he often danced with both daughters when they were young.
Soon after her high society debut, filmmaker Karan Johar announced that he is set to launch Ananya in Student Of The Year 2 along with Disney India actress Tara Sutaria. Actor Tiger Shroff was the third spoke of this love triangle tale, which was mixed with dance, action and drama.
Ananya Panday's second Bollywood movie was Pati Patni Aur Woh, co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The film was a remake of the 1978 marital comedy of the same name and was viewed as somewhat gender insensitive.
This year, Ananya Panday co-starred with Ishaan Khatter in Khaali Peeli, which was a total Bollywood masala entertainer. With theatres shut because of the coronavirus restrictions, the film released on OTT platform ZeePlex.
Ananya Panday's upcoming projects include an untitled film with Puri Jagannadh, in which she co-stars with Vijay Deverakonda. The multilingual film will mark Vijay's Bollywood debut and Ananya's first Telugu project.
Ananya is also currently working on a Shakun Batra-directed project. She will co-star with Deepika Padukone and Siddhanth Chaturvedi in the movie. The relationship drama is slated to release on February 12, 2021.
