12 Years A Slave star Benedict Cumberbatch's epic photobombing of rock legends U2 on the Oscar red carpet has quickly been transformed into a raft of hilarious internet memes. If there were an Oscar for best photobomb, it would be Sherlock's.

However, Sherlock had stiff competition from his 12 Years A Slave co-star and Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong'o who photobombed Best Supporting Actor Jared Leto in the trophy room. Best Actor Matthew McConaughey doesn't look like he really knows what's going on.
Later, Jared himself sneaked up on an oblivious Anne Hathaway at the Vanity Fair party.
Fortunately, Anne saw the joke.

Even Macca's a photobomber. Sir Paul McCartney, who recently claimed he invented the selfie and the photobomb, ruins the photo as British model Poppy Delevingne strikes a pose at the Vanity Fair party. She may not have been too mad though – it's gotta be an honour of sorts to be photobombed by a Beatle.
