Rajinikanth's much-anticipated sequel of his 2010 science-fiction robotic thriller
Enthiran goes on floors today, director S Shankar tweeted. Several celebrities and fans congratulated the director.
Lyca Productions, which is co-producing the movie along with Ayngaran International, also shared the news on their official twitter handle.
The film's stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson had recently visited Los Angeles to participate in a make-up test session for
Enthiran 2. International make-up artist Sean Foot, who has worked on films such as
I and
Avatar, will design the look of the characters.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was in talks to play the antagonist, recently opted out of the film citing disagreement over the script. Sources reveal that actors like Neil Nitin Mukesh and Hrithik Roshan are being considered for the role who will replace the Hollywood actor. Amy reportedly plays the role of a robot in the movie but it's not known whether she plays the main female lead.(Also Read:
