  • Tanisha, who is of Maharashtrian lineage on her mother Tanuja's side, says this is not a shift to Marathi films as such but she liked the script and chose to do it.
  • "My mom has done Marathi films in the past and it seemed like a good challenge, so I went for it. For me 'Adhantari' is a gift to my mom who loves Marathi cinema," she added.
  • In the film, she plays a Marathi girl of today, grown up in London. To get the accent right, Tanisha also took diction lessons.

  • "I have been associated with films regardless of whether it was in front of the camera or behind. It was a conscious decision to get into film production to grow in this field," she said.
  • "I only did a handful of films because honestly I didn't want to work in the kind of offers I was getting. Maybe I did not understand the business as well as I do now. So in the meanwhile I was enjoying donning the producer's hat and looking at the business side of filmmaking," she added.
