Superstar Amitabh Bachchan began his day today at the Bombay Stock Exchange where he rang the opening bell as part of promotions for his new TV show Yudh. Mr Bachchan plays a construction tycoon on the show, his first foray into small screen fiction.
Mr Bachchan tweeted:

Shanti Constructions, the fictional company Mr Bachchan presides over in Yudh, has now been listed on the BSE.
Mr Bachchan also posed for pictures with the iconic BSE bull.

Amitah Bachchan isn't the first Bollywood celebrity to have rung the BSE bell - Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol rang it to promote their 2010 movie My Name Is Khan and other stars, including Vidya Balan, have also done the honours.
Yudh, which airs next month, co-stars Mr Bachchan's Satte Pe Satta colleague Sarika. Filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Shoojit Sircar serve as creative director and creative consultant respectively. The poster of the show, described by Mr Sircar as "cinema as a TV series," was revealed on June 11.
