The latest episode of Koffee With Karan started off with Karan Johar talking about the popularity and perseverance of his guest, which was none other than Aamir Khan. Karan also spoke about the actor's upcoming film Dangal and vouched that it is Aamir's best work so far. Soon, Aamir took his position on the couch and Karan asked him that he'd heard that the actor has told everyone that he's not being invited for the show. Aamir instantly replied, 'Yes.' He further spoke about how he loved being on the show last time and enjoyed beating his wife Kiran Rao in the rapid fire round.
What Makes Aamir Nervous
Then, the episode moved on to the reasons why Aamir looked so stressed and then the actor revealed that he gets really nervous ahead of his film's release and he is unable to sleep. To which, Karan in order to calm Aamir said, "Dangal is the best film and your best performance."
On Sultan Vs Dangal
Later, Karan asked Aamir about his opinions on the similarity between Salman Khan's Sultan and Dangal, considering both are based on wrestling. Aamir said initially he felt people might feel that it is a similar story but then he called up Aditya Chopra, Sultan's producer about the genre of the film, to which he replied that it's a love story. Aamir further added that he wanted Sultan to be a blockbuster film, as then Dangal would be compared and people would look forward to watching it. Talking about his emotional side, Aamir revealed how he cried after watching Sultan and said that he cannot lie and whatever he feels shows up on his face.
Aamir And His Dangal Daughters
Moving on, Karan talked about the outstanding cast of Dangal and praised Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, who play Aamir's daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat in the film. Both were then welcomed by Karan and as soon as they took their place, Aamir's onscreen daughters upstaged their father. Both spoke about their struggle and how they were auditioned for the film for around one and a half months.
The OCD Bond Between Fatima And Sanya
Their friendship started from the first day of the auditions. They spoke about their scooty rides and the common OCD problems that they both have, which apparently made them friends. They also revealed that at some point of time due to being so close to each other, people thought that they were dating each other.
Aamir Khan, The Group Magnet
Not many people know that Aamir maintains his relationships with almost all the teams he has worked with. Karan said Aamir treats his co-stars like his family to which the actor agreed and said, "I try to do it every time." He has maintained his relationship with Fatima and Sana, who are now apparently very close.
Aamir, The Sulk Pot
Karan named Aamir a 'sulk pot' because of his emotional nature and how he gets upset during the end of any film's shoot.
Fatima And Sana's Fear of Getting Replaced
The trio revealed that in the first week of the shooting itself, both the girls injured themselves badly during the training. But, both out of the fear of getting replaced by some other actors, didn't reveal it to anybody in the film's unit about their injury.
Decoding Aamir Khan
Anushka Sharma, Prasoon Joshi, Raju Hirani and others spoke about the superstar's nature and how he is in real life. Anushka called him a 'chilled' person while Raju Hirani said Aamir has a bag of tricks under his arms but he doesn't realise it.
Why Aamir's Friends Hate Him
On a lighter note, Kunal Kapoor, his co-star from Rang De Basanti revealed that Aamir's drinking capacity is that of a whale and it is very dangerous to drink with him. On the other hand choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant said that she hates Aamir's for his pranks that he plays and how she twice got trapped.
Aamir, The Singer
There's more to Aamir's singing than Aati Kya Khandala?. Aamir, who has so far rarely sung on any television show flaunted his singing talent too and sang the song O Re Taal.... from his upcoming film Dangal, that will hit the theatres on December 23.
The Rapid Fire Round
Karan ka ek sawal, Aamir ke do-do jawab. Sawal-Jawab... Sawal-Jawab
In the rapid fire round, when Karan asked him about any one mistake he wants to rectify, 'Mr Perfectionist,' as Bollywood fondly calls Aamir said that he doesn't mistakes and is a perfectionist. He also revealed to the audiences that he has some hidden talent and can be a 'sex therapist'. When Karan asked him what would he do if any girl wants to come close to him, Aamir, replied, "I'll ask her to just get close to me and I will do the rest."
The Koffee Quiz
The final segment that is the Koffee Quiz revealed the funny side of Aamir Khan, where he showed off his dancing skills. He shook his legs to the tunes of Hurr Hurr Dabangg Dabangg and Badtamaeez Dil. The girls were paired up and put against Aamir. It was fun to watch them competing against their onscreen father while Sanya confused Fidel Castro for someone named 'Pedro', Fatima referred to Adele as 'Hadele'. However, he lost to his daughters in the round.
In the end, Karan thanked the trio for being on the show and how much fun he had in their presence. He wished Aamir, Fatima and Sanya good luck for Dangal and told the girls that now, after working with the superstar in their first film, they couldn't have asked for much and asked them to just enjoy the euphoria.
Next in the show, we will see Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, who had a couple of days ago posted an old image of themselves sitting on a couch, dropping a major hint about appearing on Koffee With Karan 5.
