Shahid will judge the show in place of Madhuri
Mumbai: Haider actor Shahid Kapoor will replace Madhuri Dixit Nene as a judge on the next season of dance reality show
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Shahid, 34, who is considered one of Bollywood's best dancers, is judging a reality show for the first time. The names of his co-judges are yet to be announced.

Earlier, Madhuri, who was the face of
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa for three years, said in a statement that she opted out of the of the dance reality show 'to concentrate on another project' with the channel.
"I have been on
Jhalak for three years now and I am taking a break to focus on other projects. I will be back shortly with probably something even more exciting. I wish Jhalak the very best for a spectacular season," Madhuri had said. Shahid, who recently wrapped up the shooting of
Udta Punjab, will be next seen on the big screen in
Shaandar opposite Alia Bhatt.
