Abhijeet Bhattacharya was suspended from Twitter on May 23 for offensive tweets addressing certain female users, after which he re-joined the micro-blogging site on Monday with the moniker '@singerabhijeet.'
In a tweet late Tuesday, singer Abhijeet described Ms De as 'shameless' and said she was 'abusing and cursing (her) own motherland.' It began an argument with Sonam, 31, who red-flagged the tweet as being hypocritical. Abhijeet, known for his right-wing views, is being investigated by the police for abusive tweets against a female journalist
"My son and wife have been shifted to a hotel in Antwerp and I am thankful to Jet Airways for taking care of them. But the actual problem is that both have lost their baggage also. But I have strictly ordered them not to come out from the hotel," said Abhijeet
The 34-year-old woman has filed a police complaint in which she accuses the singer of touching her inappropriately and abusing her during a concert of singer Kailash Kher earlier this week. The charges of sexual harassment and "intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace" are listed in the complaint
