"In Piku, Deepika Padukone was paid more than me. That says two things - one that she is obviously more important than me and two I have lost my price scale because I have been working for so long and maybe I am not that important now to get that kind of money," said Amitabh Bachchan
"One does feel bad and sad if a film doesn't get released. But we have moved on. We are still trying if something can happen," said Shoojit Sircar

"I am really happy because I genuinely believe that filmmaking is a collaborative effort. It is not the work of one person. It is the team that has worked together. So, if I won an award, it's equal to them winning an award and if they won, it's as good as me winning it," said Ranveer Singh
"We were expecting Mr Bachchan to win. I was quite sure that he had great chances of winning the best actor award as he was incredible as Bhashkor Banerjee. I was really hoping for Deepika to win the Best Actress award as I feel she gave a beautiful performance," said the film's director Shoojit Sircar
