Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan won the Most Glamorous Star (Female) award and Akshay Kumar walked home with the Most Glamorous Star (Male) award.
Salman Khan, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Kajol and Vidya Balan led the celebrity roll call at the star-studded event
"Amitabh Bachchan is a legend in his lifetime. Padma Vibhushan is not enough. Somebody of his stature deserves a Bharat Ratna," Ms Banerjee said
Mr Khan was particularly upset that his former writing partner had already received two Padma honours. He said, "My partner Javed Akhtar has received both Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri"

The star-studded extravaganza also saw big wins for Shahid Kapoor, who won Best Actor - Drama for Haider and Priyanka Chopra, who won Best Actress - Drama for her role in Mary Kom
Mr Bachchan told NDTV about his family's cordial relations with Rajinikanth and his family and called the South superstar a "wonderful human being" and an "incredible phenomenon." About the award given to Rajinikanth, Mr Bachchan said, "It's not enough."
